Well, this is one of those items that I don't think will make everyone
happy either way.
It definately needs to include first name and last name.
But the third key is questionable. It should probably be address or
phone number... that much is pretty clear.
Phone Number Key Pros:
- Could validate by calling them back
Phone Number Key Cons:
- I would guess 95% of ISPs don't verify phone numbers
- Would be pretty easy to get arounda phone number validation (pay
phone, additional line or friends phone)
Address Key Pros:
- Many credit card systems use the address as part of the authorization
so it would be much harder to fake
- Check customers could be validated by the address on the check itself
Address Key Cons:
- Some credit cards systems don't validate on the customers address
So... as you can see there isn't a "GREAT" solution. It really needs to
be one or the other, and as it sits right now, I think the address key
would be a better overall solutions. But as always, I'm always open to
input and/or opinions from everyone.
(In case you don't know this is for the blacklist system of Optigold ISP).
