1. Will you add a field (WebDesc?) to the products dictionary to
accomodate a decription displayed only in the web (Product selection)
drop down list?
Ex. 'Basic Access Account' works for internal purposes, but does little
to differentiate itself from a 'Standard Access Account' when viewed by
a new customer from a web site! However if we had a WebDesc of
'Unlimited Access, 10 Emails, 10MB Hosting' displayed as well... it
would be easier. The same 'extended description' might eliminate some
data entry errors if displayed with selection lists elsewhere in OG. It
could be called 'Policy'?
2. Could some additional security be placed on the web access to credit
card information? I see family's and business's having people that know
their access password, but they wouldn't want them with their CCD info.
I thought of two possibilities that should be relatively easy. One
would be make them enter the last four digits of their old card number
to access an editing page. And/or the best thing might be to allow them
to enter new information but not view existing. I may not have thought
it through far enough, but under what circumstances might someone need
to see the full card number? Maybe a partial display (last four
digits?) would be OK so someone could jog their memory on which card it
was on, and then allow them to enter new information if they need to.
Of course the natural extension would be an approval queue for changes,
or at least an audit trail?
But I don't want to push it. <G>
