Okay... assuming FMServer is indeed hosting the files properly, the only
thing I can think of is some UDP packet thrashing on your network.
FMServer uses UDP port 5003 for transmitting (every few seconds) that
it's a server and files are being hosted... So if it's not finding it
only *sometimes*, my guess would be that those UDP packets are getting
lost in your network somehow...

Snag the latest revision of the user's guide. Chapter 2: Installing
Optigold ISP has a little article on how to do just that.
