I noticed the other day that the runtime IPX protocol doesn't work on NT
(possibly 98 also), but it works fine on 95, with the exact same install.
So I'm not sure what to do about it. The normal version of FileMaker Pro
4.x works fine though. To be honest, I don't think I'm going to worry
about it a WHOLE lot because very, very, very, very, very, very, VERY few
ISPs don't have TCP/IP running on their network, and secondly, FileMaker
Pro 5.0 doesn't even HAVE IPX as an option anymore... so....

Because the 4.0 runtimes have no networking capability.
