I'm not sure the format you are trying to import it *from*, but you can
import customers under:
Maintenance & Preferences -> Import
Appendix A of the user's guide has the default import order defined, but
you can change that if you import as a "power user".

Actually you can do anything you want... there are no limitations
whatsoever on the free version except the number of customers.

{lol} No, you don't need to be a rocket scientist. It does a *lot* of
stuff though... so my best suggestion would be to learn the stuf in
steps. Go with what you need now (customer tracking, billing, etc.)
Once you understand that, domain registrations, project management, etc.
Otherwise you may overwelm yourself. There are also "power" training
sessions available, where someone can come on-site and train everyone on
everything.
