Questions from a newbie

Hi

We have samba running on our *nix machines. This enables us to map
the unix directory as a drive.

Could you please tell me if there are dependencies written into the
software such that if I install the server when the central server is
mapped at L, we will end up having to use L all the time for that
network drive?

Also if I install it using my PC, do I still need to install a client
runtime on my PC or should I use the client that is part of the
server?

Since the update is for data files only, can I assume that when 2.10
becames available next week, I won't need to reinstall clients?
(well list of steps don't say so)

Thanks

Lin
