It could be done in theory, but I think it's a bad idea for other reasons...
Say they send you a check with the login jsmith written on it... It would
also invalidate the ability to use the web interface or import usage as they
are based on login also...

I'm sure AOL has more than 1 server and they do not allow multiple logins
(granted, that's an extreme example, but still...)
