Search Again: in-addr.arpa files.... From: Scott Townsend Date: Friday, March 7, 1997 Time: 6:26:00 pm Is it me or does it not seem like in this day and age that we should not have to maintain a separate in-addr.arpa file for each domain? Granted that there is a bit more flexibility with having the file, but it would seem to me that if you already are using a proprietary domain file format then why not just use the same file and index on the IP # for the in-addr.arpa entries? All of the information is already there. Just a thought... I guess I'm tired of having to modify two files each time I add/change an entry...
