Search Again: Problem with worldnet.att.net From: Tom Weishaar Date: Tuesday, July 8, 1997 Time: 4:10:00 pm For the last couple of days I've been getting the following message in my email program's (EMIS) log file numerous times a day: Domain lookup for 'worldnet.att.net' failed because there is no MX or A record for this name When I look worldnet.att.net up using DIG on the Men & Mice site, there _are_ MX records for this domain (obviously). Restarting QDNS (v1.1.2) seems to clear the problem up for awhile, but then the error messages begin again. I've considered creating a file for worldnet.att.net with the MX records in it on my system, but obviously this isn't how the domain name system was meant to work. What do you think could be going on here? If QDNS gets a response like this, does it cache it? Shouldn't it look again on every request?
