As pragmatic as that algorithm seems, it doesn't fare well when root
servers are handing out incorrect information. I realize that is beyond
your control, but I'm wondering if it is possible to take corrective
measures when something like this happens so that QDNS minimizes the
impact.
Currently, the best I can do is just reset the cache repeatedly.

Funny you should mention that. I'm the SysAdmin at PagePlop and I helped
write the article (my email is also mikey@pageplop.com). In fact, QDNS's
selection algorithm is what caused us to first notice that the H root
server was acting up.
