Let me make sure I understand you correctly. v1.1 allows you to edit a resource containing a list of the root servers, but that resource is only used when QDNS is first started, to bootstrap it. One of the root servers from that list is chosen and it is queried to get the REAL list of root servers that is used from that point on.
