From what I can see, you've done nothing wrong. You've got a classless
subnet, delegated by <ns0.easynet.co.uk> in a slightly nonstandard way,
which nevertheless should work.

The odd result you're seeing is a sort of interim name for the address. The
records involved look something like this:

196.170.40.195.in-addr.arpa. CNAME
196.192.170.40.195.in-addr.arpa.
196.192.170.40.195.in-addr.arpa. PTR orange.fruitnet.com.

Any resolution of this address should start with the CNAME and continue on
to the PTR record. Obviously, whatever you're using to resolve the address
isn't taking the second step.
