Someone pointed out to me, off-list, that the root servers use a minimum
TTL value of 2 days. This puts a kink in the plans.
Therefore, if at all possible, you'll want to put your DNS data on an
outside server. Then you'll want to request that Internic add this new
server to their record for your domain. When they make this change, wait 48
hours, then change your addresses, your modem, and your DNS (and especially
the copy on the new, outside server).
Hopefully, your ISP can be convinced to host your domain for you until this
all gets cleared up.
