QuickDNS Pro data files are kept in a binary format.
That said, QuickDNS Admin is fully AppleScriptable (and recordable).
Furthermore, QDNS comes with the Domain Compiler, with which you can
convert standard BIND- or MIND- (Nonsequitur)-format zone files. It should
be possible to write a FileMaker and Lasso solution where your data is
stored in FMPro and converted as a batch operation with either Domain
Compiler or QuickDNS Admin.
QuickDNS Pro will notice any changes to its Primary Data folder and
Secondary Domains file, within minutes of the change(s). If that's not fast
enough, you can bring it to the front, simulate a cmd-R keystroke, then
hide it again, all with AppleScript.
If you decide to pursue this project, and complete it, would you be willing
to share it?
