Is there a question here?

Obviously, if you're changing the name of the name server, you'll want to
remove the NS record for the old name. Since you're not changing the IP
address, no queries will be lost.

The next step is to notify Internic that you're removing
"mail.yourlink.net" from the list of authoritative servers, and adding
"dns1.yourlink.net".
