Sounds like a Bad Idea.? Running a large network requires maintenance.
Period. I can only imagine the error reports generated by DNS Expert. :-)
Why not include a feature to auto-update the PTR records, when the A record
is modified. Tie the PTR to the A record. The QDNS Admin program could do
that easily enough, right? MacDNS auto-creates PTRs, from the A records,
on the fly, and it was kinda nice to never have to deal with reverse DNS.
Yes, that's a feature that MacDNS has, that QDNS Pro doesn't have.
It'd be kinda neat if QDNS or at least the Admin program could match the
simplicity of MacDNS.
(I'm in NO WAY advocating the use of MacDNS!! It SUCKS!! IT SUCKS BAD!!!
EVIL!! STAY AWAY!!)
