Search Again: virtual domain setup From: Paul Willis Date: Friday, July 2, 1999 Time: 2:51:00 pm Hi A couple of simple questions I have two servers server1.maindomain.com A 123.123.123.123 server2.maindomain.com A 123.123.123.124 Now I want to add a second domain with the web-site on server1.maindomain.com and the statistics on server2.maindomain.com. I have set up virtual Web* hosts on the servers. In my DNS records I have my two NS records then my MX records but should the rest be: seconddomain.com A 123.123.123.123 www.seconddomain.com CNAME seconddomain.com logs.seconddomain.com A 123.123.123.124 or: seconddomain.com A 123.123.123.123 www.seconddomain.com CNAME seconddomain.com logs.seconddomain.com CNAME server2.maindomain.com I "think" either is OK but which works best and which is technically correct?
