Have had a CNAME for our mail for over 2 1/2 years now and have not seen
a problem. However, I am changing it to an A name since DNS and BIND
recommends it. Also, as for the no no, you are correct the errors I see
from DNS expert are limited to the fact that there is only one pointer
record. So this begs the question? Is it possible to have more than one
pointer record?
