Sorry, I'm not following you here.

Your A record for companyx.com in QuickDNS should have the same address as
the record for www.companyx.com. If it doesn't, you can change it.

In WebSTAR Admin, you shouldn't have to worry about the address, just the
two different names and the folder they both lead to.
