FWIW,

I am running QDNS and SIMS on a PM 6100 and also on a Q700 with
CommuniGate (instead of SIMS) no crashing problems.

While there could be something with QDNS, I haven't seen it and with one
of my webservers displaying over 1 million pages per month, my DNS does
get a good work out (not to mention the 25 other much lower volume
domains).
