That depends on her old service provider. That company may have decided to
deep six all her email, for example.

Assuming their setup hasn't changed yet, she should be able to check mail
at their server using her old account information. She would then get
everything that was sent to her before or during the changeover.

Now that the change has happened, it's quite possible that some of her mail
has bounced. The reason: The root servers list your server and ns1.lava.net
as authoritative for her domain. Your server agrees. ns1.lava.net doesn't
have the zone. Therefore, DNS queries to ns1.lava.net for gabbardhawaii.com
simply fail.

You need to talk to your contact at lava.net about this.
