At the risk of asking a question that may be too obvious, have you registered
your domain(s) with the NIC for your top level domain (.uk?)? The top-level
domain needs to delegate the DNS for your domain(s) to you before anyone on
the internet at large can 'see' them (i.e., before other name servers will
know to query your name server for DNS info on your domain). Also, can you get
to your server(s) from outside by using the IP address instead of the domain
name? If not, that would indicate a problem with your network connection other
than DNS.
