Yeah... basically the "freebe" server that is built into the runtime, will support up to 100 files open by clients. So the 6th or 7th user would put it over the limit depending on how many files each one had open. The only REAL solution is to go with FileMaker Pro Server (support for up to 100 users and 65,000 open files). FMServer has some other nice features too (it's much faster, runs as a service of NT, and you can automate backups without kicking off clients without any data corruption).
