I'm going through this right now trying to get "my" domain name moved to
another site.
If your customer has the Admin NIC and is able to send email from the Admin
NIC email address, then it is easy to go to http://www.networksolutions.com
and change the details.
If not then be prepared for at least 15 emails and some faxes. I have not
yet succeeded in getting "my" domain into my control after hosting it with
a web service provider. Network Solutions do not respond appropriately as
per their promises on their web pages. 8(
If the current host is a pain in the neck then I don't think that there is
much that you can do. I am being ignored by my current web host. My next
move will be to concentrate on Network Solutions and press them for changes
(again ... they ignored my email and faxes). If that doesn't work, then my
last option is to go to the US embassy and lodge a formal complaint against
them, along the lines of "misrepresenting services".
Life should be easier.
Good luck!
