Just tried it again with the Secondary Domains file open. That made the difference. I had previously opened it and removed all entries, and then closed it again. Is it safe to guess that adding a line in the beginning that says property secondaryServer; "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx" and another one in the appropriate place in the script that says set second IP number of theRecord to secondaryServer would enter the IP address of another secondary as well? (for the record, i'm using OS 8.1) BC
