Re: Can''t get an error to go away

What mail server is giving the error? What mail server is issuing this error? The destination server, or an outgoing server?

If it's not the server that just rebooted, then I'd guess that other server has cached the faulty MX record. With your TTL of 86400 (1 day), you can expect to wait until a full day has passed since the original lookup that found this bad MX record before it gets purged and things start working correctly.

If that isn't it, you'll have to give a more complete description of what exactly happened.
