But the problem is still present.
As I said before, my local resolver (QDNS) finds the necessary records very quickly. The problem appears to be between contacting the server and the commencement of the download.

Agreed: All 3 of the virtual domains you listed are CNAME aliases of www.colony.net. They are identical as far as the DNS is concerned.
