domain not being located? From: andrew Date: Monday, December 20, 1999
Time: 3:10:00 pmHi: This is a first for me: I have QDNSPro 2.2.1 running primary and
secondary here with about a hundred domains. My upstream provides secondary
as well.
Someone recently did a host-mod to point a domain at my DNS. The changes
went through at NetSol, and whois is pointing to my DNS.
The domain is minimally set up with two NS records, an A record for
www.domain.com and an A record for domain.com a CNAME for FTP and an MX
record.
The domain resolves properly from my subnet, but noone outside can reach it.
The IP address assigned to the domain is ping-able from outside, but if I
try to ping the name I get "Bad IP address www.domain.com"
Any ideas?
TIA, Andrew Kagan
