Domain Question?From: Chad Woods Date: Tuesday, January 11, 2000
Time: 5:26:00 pmI need to learn more about DNS. I am slowly getting it. Is there any way someone could send me a sample DNS file that works under the following conditions:
I am running WebStar 4, EIMS 2.2 and other QuickDNS Pro.
I want to have DNS record that works as follows:
Runs DNS on my primary and secondary dns servers:
afg-flies.com mach1.teck.net 209.73.79.130
afg-flies.com mach2.teck.net 209.73.79.131
Run Web on my primary web server:
www.afg-flies.com 209.73.79.150
Also route emails (using my email server as a POP server for their domain):
afg.flies.com mail.teck.net
afg.flies.com mail2.teck.net
For some reason. The client is able to retrieve about 99% of his email. One client's email doesn't go through. The customer receives the following error,
"{\rtf1\ansi\deff0\deftab720{\fonttbl{\f0\fswiss MS Sans Serif;}{\f1\froman\fcharset2 Symbol;}{\f2\fswiss\fprq2 Arial;}}
{\colortbl\red0\green0\blue0;\red0\green0\blue255;}
