Subnetting has no effect on DNS if the subnet's reverse records aren't delegated.
The advantages to your ISP of subnetting are:
o They don't allocate large quantities of addresses to you that you aren't going to use - there is something of a shortage of IP addresses.
o Their routing tables are simpler.
o They don't have to fill out the forms to request additional blocks of addresses.
