Here's why, straight out of the release notes for IPNR 1.4.8:
Gateway Window: Add support for DNS forwarding and DNS Deferral.
Disable this and things will work fine - I just tested this. Open the Gateway window, find the DNS-related option in the lower-right corner, and turn it off. Note that this is similar to a feature in Vicomsoft Internet Gateway that causes the same problem.
