From: Paul S Vail Date: Tuesday, March 7, 2000 Time: 3:46:00 pm Hey Chris, I'm wandering through my secondary DNS server log... this server is strictly for secondary name serving, and I see that on occasion there is a log entry which states: Failed to lookup SOA info for domain "clientdomain.com." or Domain "clientdomain.com." has expired Unable to open file "clientdomain.com." Yet these domains are fine on the primary domain server, and the settings appear correct. This appears intermittant.... as on earlier days, the entries would yield: Zone "clientdomain.com." sucessfully downloaded Loading domain "clientdomain.com." Domain "clientdomain.com." loaded (note: the misspelling of successfully is real within the log) Is this an expected result of the internet, or do I have a problem to ferret out? paul
