Search Again:

Multiple IPs

It seems that some domain registration companies (specifically
http://www.domaininfo.com) doesn't allow different names on the same
DNS machine (or rather DNS IP number). We want to do this because we
are a couple of companies sharing one DNS and each of us wants to use
our own name of the same DNS for obvious reasons. We also want to use
our own domain names for our external secondary instead of the
external ISP's DNS name.

We tried to get around this by adding secondary IP addresses to the
server, hoping that QDNS would listen and respond to all IP numbers
on the machine, but that doesn't seem to work.

- Is there a logical reason to why they won't allow us to use than
one name for the same DNS IP number? Their support mail haven't
responded to our questions yet.
- Any other ideas on how to get around this limitation, besides
waiting for QDNS 3 or adding another physical server?
