Yup. There are a few instances where DNS Expert, for whatever reason, won't display everything it receives. Dig has no such limitation. And once you get the hang of the syntax, it's quite easy to use:

dig @server name type

e.g.:

dig @nserver.apple.com www.apple.com A

which queries one of Apple's DNS servers for A records for their web site.

However, I still think that, when it works right, DNS Expert's output is easier to read. :)
