log file archiving

I am in need of a way to archive my QDNS Pro Log file on a regular
basis. Is there anyway that I can set things up so the following occurs:

1. A duplicate of the DNS Log file is created and moved to
an archive folder.
2. The current log file is cleared immediately after this
action.

I am doing this for the following reason. On occasion, I have to use the
log file, open in a wp or ss to track down a student who is abusing my
system. If I don't find a way to do this archiving on either a daily or
weekly basis, the log file is too large to deal with (1150 Pages for one
24 hour period recently...)

TIA,
