You have a missing period (.) at the end of 'www.frank.com' in your domain
file. I assume that you have something like this in your fred.com file:

www CNAME www.frank.com

Without a trailing period on www.frank.com, QDNS will assume you are
shorthanding a subdomain of fred.com and add 'fred.com.' to the end of the
name. What you want is:

www CNAME www.frank.com.

The omission of a single character makes all the difference. 8^)
