Telnet Client

Hi there

I just wanted to drop this note to see if anything has come up in this matter.

The telnet client that comes with Optigold is operating extremely slow. I
tested it with scripts that executed on the server take about 2-5 seconds.
When invoked through Optigold and the Telnet client it takes anywhere
between 45-120 seconds.
It takes the same amount of time (if not more) as in 'debug' mode.

Then I thought it must be the BSDI 3.1 system. So I moved the scripts to a
Solaris 2.6 Sparc box and the outcome is identical.

This is not to big of an issue when you only have a couple of users to deal
with, but when you start doing something with 10's of users then it becomes
a problem.

I haven't looked at the command line solution yet, as I haven't found a
decent/affordable command line ssh client for NT/95/98. Is that solution
way faster than the telnet client?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Serge
