Problem updating to OptiGold 2.13From: Sjoerd Jan ter Welle Date: Tuesday, April 18, 2000
Time: 7:21:03 amHi,
We just updated from OptiGold 2.11 to 2.13 following the upgrade
instructions on the Digital Point website.
We off course first made a backup copy of the .USR files on our server. We
are currently using FMPro Server 3.0.
After installing the new Database Files where the old .USR files are renamed
to .FM, we ran OptiGold ISP locally and imported the old data by entering
"importold" for the login.
We started the FMPro Server service back up again and even restarted the NT
server.
We CAN login remotely over the network, and DO find almost everything back
in our database files as we used to EXEPT for the descriptioninformation in
the billingcycle items for our customers and the same (with also the amounts
missing) in the invoices that were there. The product ID is there, but the
description is missing.
What did go wrong and how can I solve this? Does anyone have a clue?
Next, I am looking for the way to disable the message that appears when
going to the main menu that there are Tech Support Calls waiting to be
answered. I have seen the message already hundreds of time and it starts to
annoy me that I have to dismiss the message everytime I end up at the main
menu.
Sincerely,
Sjoerd Jan ter Welle
