Redundant DSL Questions?!From: John Hennessey Date: Friday, April 21, 2000
Time: 7:02:04 pm I hope that this is a relevant DNS issue:
What do you think!? I am getting "buggy" with my DSL provider going
"down" 8 times in the last 20 days, usually for 8 to 12 hr stretches!
If I have one DSL circuit from a National DSL provider called: "Q" that
uses the ip addresses from 208.45.152.129 to 208.45.152.132, and would add a
DSL circuit from a Regional DSL provider called: "G" that uses the ip
addresses from 123.45.6.7 to 123.45.6.11 <for example>. For the purposes of
this example, let's say that they are both 384k SDSL circuits - and use
different CLECs (e.g. COVAD & NAS). They both have to use the same ILEC
(BA). But, the servers are located across the alley from a large C.O.
Then if the setup would diagram like this:
/---> [ INTERNET CLOUD ] <-------\
/ \
ISP=Q / Flowpoint Router @ 208.45.152.129 \
\ /--> ISP=G \Lucent Router @ 123.45.6.7
\------
