Now I dismember...that's why we didn't want runtimes in the first place...
Which leaves us with the problem: Why can't we send out a Library Letter
(Customer Survey) from a client computer and have the reply sent to the
default company email address (set to survey@traverse.net or
billing@traverse.net)? Is it an SMTP/MAPI problem? Is it a FMP 3.x problem
(Ginny and I can do it with our FMP 4.1)?
Here are the details; can you solve it?
I want to send customer surveys out from the letter library to appear as if
sending from a general email box rather than an employee's (and thus
replying to the general box).
I've got the email address I want to appear I'm sending from in the General
Preferences,
Company Preferences.
I set each client computer to send (My Stuff, Preferences) via SMTP. I
attempt to send the letter, setting the "SMTP emails from employee" to No.
(But My Stuff, Preferences needs to be changed back to send via MAPI to be
able to email receipts...)
This works when client's using FMP 4.1, but not from FMP 3.0. In 3.0, the
letter appears to send, shows as sent in OGold's customer Audit, but the
customer does not receive it. The email doesn't appear in the sender's Sent
Items (Outlook Express) using either FMP version.
Thanks, Ben.
