Re: IP Addresses...From: Caio James Date: Saturday, May 27, 2000
Time: 4:32:32 amwell...our new dns server will be located on our new dedicated line. The
servers are located offsite, and need to be moved to our new dedicated
line..
the servers are colocated and not currently under our own dns control..
so, what is the best way to move those servers to our new site? we were
thinking of setting up our new dns server, then transferring the domains at
nsi to our new dns. then after about a week, move the web servers from the
old site to the new one, and change the IP in the dns server so that
downtime is minimal..
OK I'm a complete newbie at this stuff so try to keep it simple....or
explain...;-)
thanks..
Caio
