If ns1.telstra.net goes down, or even becomes momentarily unavailable
(server busy, line busy, etc.), you run the risk of losing mail. If
this server is always available, then everything should be fine.

If a mail server can find an MX record for your domain, if the mail
server is unavailable, then it will hold the mail for later
transmission. If it can't find the MX record, then it will bounce the
message immediately.

Please note that having only one name server (especially a major one
like ns1.telstra.net) isn't much more of a risk than having two name
servers at the same location. I just wanted to point out the
potential, however small, for problems.
