Search Again: Vicom Internet Gateway DNS serving From: fred Date: Thursday, June 8, 2000 Time: 2:21:10 am Hello, I have updated my Mac Firewall from VIG 5 to VIG 6.6.2. It's a very stable product and easy to administer. As new features, the VIG can manage a very fast Webcache and can serve Header on every web pages on the client's computers. For this feature to work, we have to activate DNS serving on the VIG server. I have also a QuickDNS server inside our LAN which manage our computers. Does someone have experiences with this king of config ? How can i manage the two DNS server together ? This is a part of the mail fom the Vicomsoft support: "You cannot do a reverse DNS lookup on the IP address of the Gateway Server itself, if this is what is required we are looking to add this feature very soon."
