Check how much memory is allocated to FMServer (I think default is only
4MB), also try turning file sharing OFF on the server machine.

But to be honest, it sounds as if it's not communicating directly with the
server, and going out and then back in on the Internet.

Do you have a spare hub you could disconnect from the network and just hook
the two machines together and see if they can communicate?

Are the server and client on the same subnet? Either machine have multiple
IP addresses?

If you install Optigold ISP 2.5, and install the Workstation Installation on
the workstations, it installs an icon called "Open Optigold ISP". That will
do it.
