This has already been discussed extensively on WebSTAR Talk. Here's
the highlights:
o The actual scan is pretty quick.
o QuickDNS spends processing power comparing modification dates, though.
It's not possible to disable this in the preferences. I'm not sure if
it can be done using ResEdit. This actually has little effect on
performance, because the comparison is not done at interrupt time,
but answering DNS queries is.

The slowness will be dealt with in the next version.
Do you have any specific feature requests for the interface? Any
specific problems with the current one? I understand that, in
addition to being slow, the current version's linear list of zones is
not great when you have large numbers of them, but what would you
substitute (or add) to make it better?
