This would be unnecessary if QDNS supported DNS NOTIFY, which is provided for in RFC 1996 and implemented in BIND 8. If QDNS supported it, you could not only force QDNS secondaries to refresh their data, but any BIND secondaries you might have, as well. Also, any BIND primaries that you might be secondary for would be able to force your server to refresh its data. Christopher Bort
