NT IIS SSLFrom: Customer Support Date: Thursday, September 7, 2000
Time: 5:35:07 pmHi Shawn & any IIS secure users,
I uninstall everything on the server and install Java 2 Environment, FMWSC,
& FileMaker Unlimited all to their default locations. I also installed
optigold workstation & webserver.
I tried the 591 port which FileMaker suggestions to run the Web Companion.
IIS is configured on port 80 and is running SSL on port 443.
I then access my optigold web files by typing
https://primaryserver.net/tech.html
When I try to post to any of the optigold forms, it returns the error "An
unexpected error occurred: setsockopt() TCP_NDLAY: 10055, localhost"
The error I am getting is not being generated from the IIS server, but from
FMPro. I can tell, because it looks like a FileMaker pro error page instead
of the basic IIS (white background & black text) error pages.
I tried a few different configurations with the Web Server Connector. I'm
tried listing the host as 'localhost', 'primaryserver.net', 'primary001'. In
all cases it does bring up the list of available database. I select the
Toubleshooter_.fp5 & MainMenu.fp5 to be served.
I copied all Web Files from c:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 5\web\
to my Default IIS web at c:\inetpub\wwwroot\
Do any setting need to be changed in the "Java Plugin Control Panel"?
Currently (at defaults) my settings for the Java Plugin are set to the
following:
Network Access: Applet Host
Java Run Time Parameters: null
Java Run Time Environment: Use Java Plug-in Default
Path: left blank
I did notice I can change "Java RunTime Environment from "Use Java Plug-in
Default" to "JRE 1.2 in c:\Program Files\Javasoft\jre\1.2"
Should I change this setting? Also, there is a section under the Java
Control Panel called "Certificates" and it listed none. Should it be listed
the secure cert for our NT server?
I'm kinda stumped here and need to get this working.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Or any discussion groups out there that can help?
I already tried all the support options on filemaker's site and in the
FileMaker Unlimited Archive.
Thanks for your help!

The only thing I can think of is maybe something there doesn't like your
install locations... It's always worked fine right out of the box for me,
but I always use default locations... I'm not sure why you installed JRE to
the FileMaker folder, as it's a function of the OS, not FileMaker...
