Hi Drew,

This is exactly what I was saying about the steps required to
interface OptiGold to OpenSRS.. those were the steps that good
ol' Shawn needs to do to create an OG-to-OS interface... and I'm
so confident that he'll do it too (all in good time!) - We already
have our OS web signup interfaces... but how about an OS-to-OG
interface as well to indicate the domains ordered from OS
automatically into OptiGold?? This is something else ONLY SHAWN
can do <<bows graciously to The Man.>> He's got to go to OpenSRS
and strike a deal so that our customers don't have to go to two
different sign up systems to open a new account and register a
domain, all handled seamlessly... ( I dream of a perfect world )

Would have loved to see your OS signup interface, Drew... but alas
in 72 machines here there is not a Mac among them and I got the
dreaded "You are not using a Macintosh, my friend! " message...

Here's a couple of mine, using the SAME PHYSICAL SCRIPTS:
http://www.data-arts.com/discountdomains/
http://www.DomainsOnSpecial.com
http://www.Hearttouched.com/domreg
Hmmm guess I should go into the dom reg reselling business eh? LOL
And you can see em with a pc or a mac :)

So I'm still holding out for the pizza, deep dish pepperoni
with anchovies WOULD BE NICE, and make that a Dr. Pepper
while you're at it :)

Carol

Hi Carol,

We are an OpenSRS ISP, and I'd have to say that I don't see the same issues
that you do in terms of getting Optigold to interface with the OpenSRS back
end, but I am likely asking for much less than you are.

When a customer orders web hosting and requests a domain name, it would be
killer if Optigold could handle the registration for us instead of having to
fire up a web browser and process a manual registration using the OpenSRS
reseller system.

For registrations and domain mods initiated by a customer directly, our web
interface (http://www.macintoshdomains.com) works like a charm. No need to
re-invent that wheel.

As of for the pizza, that would be a stretch. How about a veal parmagiana
hero and a coke? (-:
