Search Again: Internal Messaging From: Greg Gibson Date: Monday, November 2, 1998 Time: 9:17:07 am Shawn...I really like the internal communications features of OptiGold...the messaging and to-do list. I wonder if that could be beefed up a bit. Specifically I would like to be able to set a completion date to an assigned task...that is, put a date on the task and if the employee has not completed the task by that date then have the program notify the person who assigned the task. I would also like to be able to enter a to-do for myself with a reminders...say I want to be reminded that a task is supposed be be done x number of days before the completion date...and if possible, set multiple reminder dates...like have OptiGold remind me that the task is coming up and needs to be completed. Of course, this could be good for reminding yourself about lunch dates, phone calls, etc. as well as projects. I guess what I'm looking for is some kind of built in datebook functionality. I know you are adding the capability to message all employees but I would also be interested in being able to broadcast and "instant" message to all employees online...a kind of bulletin system where a screen pops up with the message immediately rather than waiting for them to change menu items. What do you think?
