Seth,
The License for QDNS allows you to run 2 copies, a primary and a secondary.
Why not put one copy in the background on one of your big boxes, and run
another copy on <insert obsolete mac salvaged from dumpster here> ?
Should give you the best of both worlds, no?
Cause I like to be especially redundant, we run QDNS on our primary
co-located server, one on an old Power Computing over DSL from home and a
copy of Bind on the old Linux box that serves as a router for our local
network here. Works great but it's a pain in the butt to have to snake a
monitor cable over to the Linux box when we add a new secondary (I have
Telnet turned off because I know just enough about Linux to be really
dangerous. I fix most problems with a fresh install!).
